#1249 TECHNIQUES Curved roof with train tracks

Today we’re sharing a fantastic technique for creating an impressive curved roof by utilising curved train tracks (part number 53400, not 85976 as mentioned in the image). Instead of just using the piece as train track, Bjorn Schouten on Flickr attaches transparent clear or ‘glass’ panels and with multiple tracks for reinforcement this creates a very strong (and expensive) yet simple roof technique that he used for a train station build. It just goes to show that if you have large pieces lying around in your collection, you might be able to put them to good use!

You can check out more pictures of his build by searching for Bjorn’s name on Flickr.
