FAQ

Our team frequently scouts social media for builds that catch our attention, gain traction within the LEGO community, or showcase a technique that we’re trying to highlight. We do accept submissions for your builds or builds you’ve seen online, and we love hearing from you! The best way to send these our way is via Instagram message. Due to a high volume of messages, our volunteer team will try to reply within the week. Submitting a build does not guarantee a feature will be done.

Tips&Bricks is a LEGO blog that is built by a team from various backgrounds and locations. As a team, we recognize that where we come from and who we are impacts our build styles and consumption. This means that social issues absolutely impact LEGO consumers, AFOLs, and the community as a whole.

We believe that LEGO is more than bricks- it’s also a community of people. LEGO wouldn’t exist without people to use these bricks, and we at Tips&Bricks are here to serve a community of LEGO fans! Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging are important ideas that help ensure the LEGO community is accessible and welcoming to all. LEGO also has their own efforts toward diversity and inclusion.

No, we’ve never received any money aside from that donated to us through our Patreon. As members of LAN (the LEGO Ambassador Network), LEGO provides us with a select number of sets each year, but we don’t have to praise the sets to keep receiving them.

Need proof? Look no further than our old friend the T2 Camper Van. LEGO gave us this set, and we gave it a 0/100. In fact, it was so bad that we completely reworked our scoring system because of it. Yikes.

Our entire team is a group of volunteers who aren’t paid to be part of Tips&Bricks. When we have specific needs within the team, we will post recruitment drives on all our social media channels, so be sure to follow us for future opportunities!

Some builders do create instructions for their designs! We will always tag the builders that we feature, so feel free to reach out to those builders directly. You can also use Rebrickable.com and search the builders there to see if they’ve made instructions of their designs available for download.
