#2806 TECHNIQUE DISCUSSION: Solid-Colour Water

Splish, splash! Today’s post explores a fun alternative to transparent water, using solid-colour bricks. Five standout builders demonstrate various ways to use solid-colour bricks, slopes, plates, and tiles in your next model for an intriguing and eye-catching design of water.

A few builders use normal bricks to create a smooth, simple surface of water that effectively acts as a backdrop against details on top and along its edge; others go into more detail, using slopes to add natural shapes and mimic depth and detail of a body of water. Some standout builds go even further, trying out unique techniques of bending bricks or subtle color gradients to make their builds stand out.

What do you think of these designs? Are you ready to “dive in”?
