#2641 TECHNIQUE ANALYSIS: Gru by @theroldangrace

Last year LEGO released a brick-built Gru with #minions that relied heavily on stickers. Not satisfied with the set, Roldan Grace set out to make his own Gru – and more than succeeded!

There are several different types of unique parts used, from dragon jaws to flower petals. We personally love the organic nature of the scarf! Do you recognize it?

Clips are critical to allow for flexible positioning of parts, allowing the eyes to be attached in a compact space. Gru’s torso is modular-style, being able to slide on and off with an axle.

To keep #gru from becoming top-heavy, there’s tires at the bottom to provide traction and stability. If you liked this build, be sure to follow @theroldangrace and his amazing builds!
