We are a online blog that shares daily tips and tricks for building custom LEGO models. We aim to inspire everyone with new techniques and part uses, from those just diving into building without instructions to the expert builder!
The Start of Tips&Bricks
My name is Alex and I’m the founder and manager of Tips&Bricks! Like many others, I had LEGO when growing up, and in my early teenage years, I discovered the online LEGO® community. I was blown away by the amazing custom builds I saw – and spent many hours viewing MOCs (My Own Creations) and following builders on Flickr. I was keen to take my own building to the next level, but struggled to find much content online that showed you HOW to become a better builder.
So I decided to start my own blog, and the rest is history! Since then, I have been able to share this journey with builders from all over the world, exploring and explaining the very best techniques, MOCs and tips for building custom creations. What started as a Facebook page back in 2017 with some embarrassingly bad infographics, soon expanded to an Instagram page and recruiting team members to help take our content to the next level. I’m grateful to now lead a 22 person team of amazing creators who bring new ideas and perspectives to share with our readers.
Thanks to the support of the online LEGO community for our content, Tips&Bricks was recognized by The LEGO Group in 2018 and joined the LEGO Ambassador Network. This gives us access to LEGO sets to review and interviews with LEGO designers.

This blog aims to help everyone become better builders — whether that is inspiring new builders to expand their collections, explaining new skills to build a MOC, or encouraging builders to engage in their communities. We aim to create content for everyone — from novice to experienced builders!
