The head of @bricklink put out a statement both in the LAN (the private message board @lego has for their RLFM – registered LEGO fan media, such as Tips&Bricka) and to the sellers impacted. We include the letter, along with our thoughts on the response and situation.

One thing we are still awaiting clarification – it is unclear if affected AFOLs will be unable to participate in the BrickLink Designer Program, per the FAQ of BrickLink. From the way we read it, they will not be able to submit. We will happily clarify that situation if we can get more information.
