#3121 SET REVIEW: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D

We finish up our two-part review of LEGO’s first contact with the Star Trek theme! In this part, we’re scoring two additional categories:

🏗 Techniques: 5/5 An array of smart techniques work to form shapes that aren’t particularly friendly to the LEGO system! The detachable saucer requires a strong build, and the many techniques packed into this set deliver!

💸 Value for Money: 5/5 The price-per-part is great even with the inclusion of nine exclusive minifigures, new moulds, and some large parts. This works as a fantastic display that feels worthy of the pricetag, but ñ we don’t love that this is the only Star Trek set. Where are smaller, more accessible ones to fans who aren’t experts in the Rules of Acquisition?

Take a look back at post 3118 for part one where we talked parts, minifigures, and accuracy.

Now that we’ve gotten a set from The Next Generation, we want to hear where you hope this theme goes next. Share with us! 📱
